NOCO Pop Warner Association 2018 Season Information
We are excited to provide details on the 2018 OUTLAWS Season.

Age/Weight Matrix:
- Pop Warner enforces a strict age and weight matrix to promote player safety
- A players age on July 31st, is their age for the season.
NOCO Pop Warner Association requires all players to play in the lowest division for which they are eligible. Any parent wishing to have their player to play up must appeal this decision with the football commissioner and if not resolved with the commissioner, the Board of Directors will have final say.
Season Fees:
- Fees cover the costs of league dues, helmet painting and decals, practice and game field rentals, team practice equipment, association operational costs, and league fees which cover referees and insurance.
- Game Uniforms are not included in registration fees. Participants will pay the uniform supplier separately at time of uniform fitting in early June. See estimated costs by division below.
- If a family registers more than one participant there is a $25 discount per participant.
- Late Registration: Beginning on May 1st, there will be an additional $25 charge added to the fees listed below, so don’t delay.
Tiny Mite: $150 per player
- Fees cover the costs of uniforms, league dues, helmet painting and decals, practice and game field rentals, team practice equipment, association operational costs, and league fees which cover referees and insurance.
- Optional Equipment Loaner Program: For Tiny Mite players have the option of a loaner program for helmets and shoulder pads for players who need them. (There will be a place to sign up for this program when you register.)
- The loaner equipment program is optional and there will be a $20 fee for this program.
- If you don’t participate in the loaner program, you must provide your own helmet and shoulder pads.

Mitey Mite: $200 per player
- Fees cover the costs of uniforms, league dues, helmet painting and decals, practice and game field rentals, team practice equipment, association operational costs, and league fees which cover referees, insurance, and playoff/bowl game facilities
- Optional Equipment Loaner Program: For Mitey Mite players have the option of a loaner program for helmets and shoulder pads for players who need them. (There will be a place to sign up for this program when you register.)
- The loaner equipment program is optional and there will be a $20 fee for this program.
- If you don’t participate in the loaner program, you must provide your own helmet and shoulder pads.
Jr. Pee Wee, Pee Wee, Jr. Varsity, and Unlimited: $350 per player
- Fees cover the costs of league dues, helmet painting and decals, practice and game field rentals, team practice equipment, association operational costs, and league fees which cover referees, insurance, and playoff/bowl game facilities. No equipment included.
- Game Uniforms are not included in registration fees. Participants will pay the uniform supplier separately at time of uniform fitting in early June. The estimated cost of the uniform package for Tiny Mites (2 game jerseys jersey, 2 game pants (non-integrated/knee pads only), and 1 pair game socks) is between $230 and $250.
Scholarships:
- NOCO Pop Warner provides scholarships to assist those without the financial means to participate.

Team Formation
- Space will be limited and the number of teams formed will be based on the number of qualified head coaches we identify.
- Team placement of players is at the sole discretion of the NOCO Pop Warner Board of Directors.
- Player team placement will be done with the success and growth of the player, team, and association, now and in the future, as guiding principles.
- Teams will not be formed until after registration is closed June 1st.
Regular Season General Schedule
- Practice begins August 1st
- Regular season games are played on Saturdays beginning in late August/Early September, including Labor Day weekend.
- Away games are generally in Loveland, Greeley, and the Denver Area, but could possibly be played as far South as Colorado Springs.
- The regular season goes until late October
Post Season General Schedule: Bowl Games and Playoffs
- Some post season games may be scheduled on Sunday.
- Tiny Mites: Can have one local bowl game in the post season.
- Mitey Mites:
- Bowl games are in late October/early November. Plan on practicing and playing games into November.
- Jr. Pee Wee and above:
- League playoffs are in late October
- Regional/National Playoffs begin in November and could be played in Colorado and Texas.
- Participants and families in divisions eligible for playoffs should be prepared for additional expenses for out of state travel if their team advances to regional playoffs.
Practices:
- Practice begins on August 1st.
- Practices locations and times are dependent on field availability and will be announced by late July.
- August (pre-Season):
- Tiny Mites: 3 practices per week of 1.5 hours per practice (4.5 hours)
- Mitey Mites: 3-4 practices per week of 1.5-2 hours per practice (4.5-8 hours determined by coach)
- All other Divisions: 4-5 practices per week of 2-2.5 hours per practice (8-10 hours – determined by coach)
- September, October, November/post season:
- Tiny Mites (September and October only): 2 practices per week of 1.5 hours per practice (3 hours) and 1 game per week (Saturdays)
- All other Divisions: 3 practices per week of 2 hours per practice (6 hours) and 1 game per week (Saturdays)
Equipment
- Required Equipment:
- Helmet
- Shoulder Pads
- Practice jersey (Game jerseys are not to be worn to practice.)
- Practice socks (Game socks are not to be worn to practice)
- Practice pants (Game pants are not to be worn to practice)
- Football Cleats (not metal)
- Molded Mouth Guard which attaches to the face mask (Player will not be allowed to participate without one!)
- Jr. Pee Wee, Pee Wee, and JV divisions: A padded girdle for under game pants is required
